“Be kind to each other and spread love.”
– Sophia Megan
When I was a month shy of turning 2, I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
When I was at Sickkids Hospital receiving treatment a nice custodian gifted me with a pack of stickers. This random act of kindness sparked the idea for our Love Boxes ❤️
My family wanted to gift children in hospitals with a Love Box to help uplift their spirits. The boxes are filled by community members with toys, coloring books, crafts, toiletries and other comfort items.
To date we have gifted over 20,000 Love Boxes to children in hospitals across the GTA, Durham, and areas up north.
My Strength: My ability to never give up hope is my strength. I’m a survivor. I am (11) years old. Strong, healthy, beautiful and (7) years cancer free.
